Welcome to Cape Town! Ember and Oak is located in Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate. The estate has lots of restaurants, wine tasting and a lovely little garden where you can stroll around. There will be no transportation to or from this event but if you plan to drive there is paid parking on the property. We encourage everyone to Uber. This event is meant to be a casual hangout so please don't stress about being there any particular time. If you're out exploring CT don't rush to be here at 6. We will be hanging out all evening so we will see you whenever you get there.

Good Morning and sorry for the early start, but it's WINE DAY! We will all be taking a bus out to Franschhoek, a beautiful wine region about an hour and half east of Cape Town. Here we'll have lunch, meander through town and visit a few of our favorite vineyards, including the one where we got engaged! If you you are looking to build up your wine cellar this will be a great time to pick up some delicious South African wines! We should be back to the Constantia area around 5:30pm but please don't quote us on this. We will let you know where the (party) bus will depart from in the near future so check back soon.

Please arrive at 3pm. There is parking available at the property if you are opting to drive but, as always, we recommend Uber.

You can’t come to South Africa without experiencing a proper braai! Join us for a laid-back backyard BBQ with grilled meat, pool time, and good company—so don’t forget your swimsuit. The start time is… aspirational (we’re expecting a few heroic hangovers). The braai will be hosted at Lee and Nadia’s home. We’ll share the exact location and directions in person, but for the planners among you, it’s in the Constantia area and close to the other events. Parking will be limited, so Uber is king.
